Thorngarrow Hackendaesch was a halfling who lived on the shadier side of the law. Until he fell in love with a priestess. Unable to ever fulfill the promise of love he dedicated his life to changing his ways. All that was dashed away when he found his beloved murdered. In her hands was the blade that would come to be known as Messenger. Upon it in her blood was written the tale...it told of how the High Priest with lust in his heart had tried to take her. She rejected him and threatened to tell the counsel of Elders. In a rage the High Priest murdered her and defiled her corpse losing his soul in the process. Thorngarrow swore upon the blade to honor his love and avenge her death. It is said in that moment the gods of his beloved looked down upon the tiny man and blessed him. He was the first Halfling paladin. Together with the aid of a group of adventurers they sought out the Dark Priest and not only avenged Thornegarrow's beloved but also saved the Realm from certain destruction.

Messenger gives bonuses to Halflings of any Good alignment and even better to those of Lawful Good. Make it a Halfling Paladin and you have a truly mighty weapon.
